Ukrajinci sa zobudili do nepríjemného rána. Ruský prezident Vladimír Putin v skorých ranných hodinách rozhodol o uskutočnení špeciálnej vojenskej operácie vo východnej časti Ukrajiny. V krajine zavládol chaos.
Obyvatelia Ukrajiny zobrali od skorého rána útokom benzínové pumpy ale aj bankomaty. Ľudia sa skrývajú v metre. Na výjazdoch z Kyjeva sa tvoria dopravné zápchy.
Ruské pozemné sily začali vo štvrtok vstupovať na územie Ukrajiny, informovala agentúra AFP s odvolaním sa na ukrajinskú pohraničnú stráž. Podľa nej ruské pozemné sily prešli na Ukrajinu z viacerých smerov. Ruské tanky a iná ťažká technika prekročili hranicu v niekoľkých severných regiónoch a na juhu z ukrajinského polostrova Krym, ktorý však Moskva anektovala v roku 2014. Moskva medzitým oznámila zatvorenie lodnej dopravy v Azovskom mori medzi Ukrajinou a Ruskom.
