Otvorený rozhovor medzi štyrmi očami sa nekonal. Charles (72) pozval Harryho (36) na súkromnú večeru. K stretnutiu však nedošlo, jeho syn odletel do USA skôr ako mu stihol dať pozvánku. Vraj sa syna veľmi bál.
Zdroj blízky princovi z Walesu prehovoril o Charlesovom pláne na súkromnú večeru po Harryho krátkom návrate do Británie. Ten priletel do Londýna odhaliť sochu zosnulej matky princeznej Diany. „Bolo mi povedané, že princ Charles chcel s Harrym na večeri prediskutovať všetko, čo sa v posledných mesiacoch udialo, najmä rozhovor s Oprah Winfrey,“ povedal zdroj.

Dodal, že Charles bol zo stretnutia so synom značne nervózny, lebo ho desila predstava, že Harry si otcovo faux- pas vyložil zle a prekrútenú verziu predostrel svojej manželke Meghan Markle. Či k večeri napokon došlo, zdroj netuší.

Pokiaľ však Charles plánoval pokec so synom, bol to výrazný krok vpred. Vzťahy v rodine sú totiž už dlhodobo napäté. Všetko začalo potom ako Harry utiekol s manželkou Meghan Markle do USA a tým pádom sa vzdali všetkých kráľovských povinností.
