Brusel odmieta rokovať o osudoch 2000 migrantov, ktorí uviazli v Bielorusku a chcú sa dostať do krajín EÚ, povedal v pondelok bieloruský prezident Alexandr Lukašenko. Informovala o tom agentúra AFP.
“Čakám, kým sa EÚ vyjadrí k otázke 2000 utečencov,” povedal Lukašenko s tým, že očakáva, že týchto ľudí Únia prijme. “(Nemecká kancelárka Angela) Merkelová mi sľúbila, že tento problém preberú na úrovni Európskej únie. Ale nerobia to,” povedal Lukašenko, ktorého citovala bieloruská štátna tlačová agentúra Belta.
Predstavitelia Únie podľa Lukašenka odmietli o probléme rokovať, a to aj napriek viacerým pokusom bieloruského ministra zahraničných vecí nadviazať kontakt. “Mali by sme trvať na tom, aby ich Nemci prijali,” dodal Lukašenko.

Migranti do Poľska, rovnako aj do Litvy a Lotyšska, začali prichádzať po tom, ako Lukašenko koncom mája avizoval, že Minsk im už nebude brániť v ceste do EÚ cez svoje územie, čím reagoval na sprísnené sankcie Západu.
EÚ tvrdí, že Lukašenkov režim odvtedy migrantov na hranice zmienených krajín vysiela zámerne, aby tak spôsobil chaos a spory v Únii. Lukašenko to popiera. Bieloruské úrady minulý týždeň zlikvidovali najväčšie tábory, v ktorých sa tiesnili migranti na hraniciach s Poľskom a poslali ich do neďalekého logistického centra. Lukašenko a Merkelová v priebehu minulého týždňa spolu v tejto záležitosti dvakrát telefonovali a dohodli sa, že aj naďalej zostanú v kontakte.
Migranti sa vyjadrili, že sa chcú cez Poľsko dostať do Nemecka a Lukašenko avizoval, že je pripravený ich tam letecky poslať, ak to bude nutné.
