Meghan Markle (39), manželka britského princa Harryho (36), prežila v júni toho roku potrat. Zverila sa s tým prestížnym novinám New Your Times. Z jej slov skutočne mrazí: „Vedela som to. Ako som zvierala v náručí svoje provorodené dieťa, že strácam to druhé…“, povedala dojemne.
Vojvodkyňa zo Sussexu, ktorá v máji v roku 2019 porodila syna Archieho, sa verejne a celému svetu zverila, že má za sebou smutnú životnú skúsenosť – potrat. O dieťatko, otcom ktorého bol princ Harry, prišla teraz v júni. To, že sa deje niečo, čo by sa rozhodne diať nemalo, zistila vo chvíli, keď prebaľovala svojho prvorodeného syna. „Pocítila som náhly, ostrý kŕč. Klesla som na zem s Archiem v náručí, spievala som im uspávanku, aby sa obaja upokojili. Veselá melódia bola v ostrom kontraste s mojím pocitom, že niečo nie je v poriadku. Ako som zvierala v náručí svoje prvorodené dieťa, vedela som, že strácam to druhé…“

Kvôli ostrým kŕčom v podbrušku potom bývalá hviezda seriálu Kravaťáci zamierila do nemocnice, kde sledovala, ako táto udalosť láme srdce jej mužovi, zatiaľ čo sa ona pokúšala udržať rozbité kúsky svojho vlastného srdca. Jej pocity iste chápe každá matka, ktorá v sebe nosila život, no konečnú šancu prežiť skutočne nedostal. „O niekoľko hodín neskôr som ležala na nemocničnej posteli a držala manžela za ruku. Cítila som horkosť jeho dlane a pobozkala som ho na kĺby ruky mokré do našich sĺz. Pozerala som na studené biele steny okolo seba a oči mi ihneď zaliali slzy. Snažila som sa predstaviť si, aké by to bolo, keby sme sa uzdravili,“ popísala bolestné chvíľky v článku nazvanom Straty, ktoré zdieľame.
